My journal focuses on light. Being that light impacts the quality of any photo you take, the positioning of light whether centered, off to the side or not in the photo changes the overall feeling of the photo. Since light is an important part of our every day lives, this is why i decided to focus my journal on this. Strong light versus little to no light changes how a person views and feels about your photo. Contrasting light helps audience members eyes to focus on what you want them to see. For example, my photo of the sunset, the positioning of the sun draws the eye to the contrasting black sailboat and bird, which may have gone unnoticed if the positioning of the light was different. When taking photos light is always an element to consider. Focusing my journal on how important light is gave me a stronger and better understanding of how important each element is when taking a good photo.
